Since 1904, Children’s Bureau has been a private, nonprofit leader in preventing child abuse and neglect and treating children who have suffered. Our innovative, comprehensive services help thousands of at-risk children and parents annually from 20 community sites in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Our research and evaluation efforts and advocacy inform the child welfare arena on local, state and national levels.

Mission: Maria Cristina Foundation helps children and adults in the slums of Dhaka, Bangladesh break the cycle of poverty through education. We believe every child should have a chance to go to school and make a better future for themselves. Where a child is born must not define where he/she can go.

Mission: The Open Insulin Foundation is a non-profit creating the means for communities in-need to have local sources of safe, affordable, high-quality insulin. Our governance is shared between people with diabetes and people working on the project. Our working groups collaborate to develop new tools for open drug production, from R&D to manufacturing for medical use. Our goal is that people living with diabetes and their communities can own and govern the organizations that produce the medicine they depend on to survive

Mission: Tiny N Tall Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non for profit organization of volunteers dedicated to providing temporary shelter, veterinary care and behavioral support for small and giant breed dogs as they transition into carefully selected homes. We rescue Tiny breeds under 25 pounds and Giant breeds. Our rescue is all foster based and we rely solely on donations. We provide medical care, shelter, a full belly and lots of LOVE to Tiny and Giant breed dogs. We have a great team of foster homes and volunteers that make this possible.

Every Orphan’s Hope serves orphans and widows in Zambia, Africa with three types of homes to meet the orphaned child’s distinct life stage and needs.

Mission: Cool the Earth seeks to educate and engage individuals in fighting climate change by motivating them to take significant climate actions to reduce their personal carbon footprint. Collectively, these actions will have a meaningful impact on mitigating the climate crisis, which disproportionately affects the health and well-being of black, indigenous and people of color.
